Accreditation
The ESTS Accreditation Programme recognises thoracic surgery units that demonstrate a sustained commitment to quality, safety, and clinical excellence.
Through a structured peer-review process, renewed annually, the programme provides an independent benchmark of a centre's adherence to established standards in patient care and outcomes.
A key component of this process is active participation in the ESTS Database, the largest transnational clinical registry in general thoracic surgery. It serves as Europe’s leading reference for surgical benchmarking, quality improvement, and clinical research.
This page highlights the active accredited units that demonstrate exemplary dedication to data quality, transparency, and continuous performance evaluation. To further expand this impactful scientific network, we warmly invite non-participating clinical departments and national registries to collaborate with the ESTS Database and join our community of accredited excellence.
