The call for abstracts for the WTS 2025 Annual Meeting is open! 

We are seeking abstracts with the goal to promote research from women in the field of cardiothoracic surgery and research that supports and promotes women within the specialty. 

Abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentation at the 2025 WTS Annual Meeting. Top-scoring abstracts presented by trainees will be eligible for trainee awards.

*Abstracts that have been previously submitted and/or presented at prior conferences, but not published, may be submitted for consideration. Previously-presented work will be eligible for poster presentation only.*

The deadline for submission is June 30, 2025 11:59pm PST.

Formatting Requirements:
- Abstracts have a maximum limit of 350 words. This includes only the abstract body.
- WTS has a required format for the body of an abstract. Abstracts must be written and divided into four sections:Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions
- Authors are permitted to upload ONE table or figure with their submission. Files must be uploaded below. Permitted file formats include JPG, PNG, or PDF. No other file formats will be accepted.
- Tables/Figures do not count against the total word count. 
- Do not put author names and/or affiliations in the body. Abstracts which include references to authors or institutions will not be reviewed.
