General Thoracic Surgeon, Master from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, PhD from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery - Head of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Universitário Gaffrée e Guinle (HUGG) of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). Coordinator of the Medical Residency in Thoracic Surgery at HUGG and the Professional Master's Course in Medicine in the Area of Concentration in Video-Assisted and Minimally Invasive Techniques at UNIRIO. Full Member of the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery and the Brazilian College of Surgeons. Leader of the "Tórax" Research Group registered with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Expertise in General Thoracic Surgery and Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery with an emphasis on tuberculosis and other surgical pleuropulmonary inflammatory conditions in addition to lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies .

Other Interests

Currently with great interest in robotic surgery; also working as a general thoracic surgeon in several private hospitals in the city of Rio de Janeiro, with emphasis on Hospital São Vicente de Paulo

working in the area of research in General Thoracic Surgery with an interest in surgical inflammatory pleuropneumopathies as well as thoracic malignant neoplasms
