Background
Dr. Guy Pines is the Director of Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery at Kaplan Medical Center and a Senior Lecturer at the Hebrew University Medical School. After completing a clinical fellowship in Thoracic and Foregut surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School , he returned to Israel to pioneer and establish both the esophageal surgery program and the thoracic robotic surgery program at his institution. His clinical expertise in minimally invasive and complex foregut procedures is complemented by a prolific academic career. Dr. Pines is dedicated to surgical education and won several excelence in teaching awards
