Background
Stijn Vanstraelen currently is a research fellow under supervision of Dr. Gaetano Rocco at the Thoracic Service of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he focusses on breathprint analysis in the diagnostics of thoracic malignancies.
He performed his clinical residency at the department of thoracic surgery at the University Hospitals of Leuven. His professional interests are minimally invasive thoracic surgery, pulmonary and esophageal malignancies, as well as academic research.
