Background

Dr.Tantraworasin is currently Associate Professor of Surgery especially dedicated to Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand and received his medical degree and philosophy of Doctor (PhD) in clinical epidemiology from the Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. He completed his General Surgical Residence and Fellowship of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at the Chiang Mai University. He also completed the 2-year research fellowship of Thoracic Surgery at the Icahn Medical school at Mount Sinai, New York, USA. In 2009, Dr. Tantraworasin joined the faculty staff of General Thoracic Surgery Unit, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University where he became associate professor in 2019. He also works as the chief of Clinical Epidemiology and Clinical Statistics center, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. His works focus on minimally invasive surgery in general thoracic disease, and also chest wall reconstruction. Dr. Tantraworasin’s research focuses on the lung cancer surgery, pleural disease, and mediastinal tumor, however because of his PhD, he also be a consultant of clinical research in many medical field. He has published over 78 papers, has written over 3 book chapters of lung cancer diagnosis and treatment.
