Background
I am an Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey. After completing my residency at the University of Health Sciences, I rapidly advanced in my academic career and became one of the youngest associate professors in my field.
My main clinical focus is minimally invasive thoracic surgery, particularly uniportal and multiportal VATS. I have independently performed a high volume of complex anatomical resections and continue to develop techniques for safe and effective solo-surgeon procedures. I am also involved in experimental research, including studies on airway healing and surgical fibrosis.
Academically, I serve as a reviewer and Guest Editor for several international journals, and I am committed to producing and supporting high-quality, collaborative research. I am passionate about surgical education, clinical innovation, and sharing knowledge with the broader medical community.
Research
My research focuses on minimally invasive thoracic surgery, surgical outcomes, and airway healing. I am particularly interested in uniportal VATS techniques, perioperative management, and surgical innovation. I have also conducted experimental studies on tissue fibrosis and bronchial anastomosis healing using animal models. I actively contribute to clinical trials, retrospective cohort studies, and collaborative research projects that aim to improve patient care in thoracic surgery.
