Background

Dr. Chen Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Second Xiangya Hospital, Central South University. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins University, USA, and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Early Diagnosis and Precision Treatment of Lung Cancer. Additionally, Dr. Chen holds positions as Vice Chairman of the Thoracic Surgery Committee of the Hunan Medical Association and Vice Chairman of the Minimally Invasive Thoracic Oncology Committee of the Hunan Anti-Cancer Association. Clinically, Dr. Chen specializes in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, particularly excelling in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and pulmonary nodules, performing over 500 surgeries annually. He plays a pivotal role in multidisciplinary teams (MDT) dedicated to managing complex thoracic diseases and malignancies. Dr. Chen's research focuses on elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying thoracic tumor progression, emphasizing epigenetic regulation and immune response modulation, with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets.
