1st Pan Arab Congress of Thoracic Surgery & 4th Tunisian Thoracic Surgery Congress-Endorsed by ESTS

The thoracic surgery community will gather in Tunis from 6–8 November 2025 for a landmark joint meeting: the 1st Pan Arab Congress of Thoracic Surgery and the 4th Tunisian Thoracic Surgery Congress.

Organized under the patronage of the Tunisian Ministry of Health, in partnership with the Tunisian Thoracic Surgery Association (TTSA) and the Arab Society of Thoracic Surgeons (Arab STS), the congress will serve as a platform for advancing knowledge, exchanging expertise, and fostering collaboration across the Arab region and beyond.

Over three intensive days, the scientific program will feature oral communications, poster sessions, symposia, video sessions, workshops, and keynote lectures. Highlights include hands-on workshops on ribs fixation and EBUS-EUS, as well as focused sessions addressing pressing topics such as N2 disease in NSCLC management, sublobar resection, perioperative care, tuberculosis surgery, chest wall reconstruction, lung screening, and tracheal disease. The program also offers thought-provoking lectures on thoracic surgery training, Arab contributions to global surgical traditions, and establishing transplantation programs.

The congress is set to welcome more than 30 international experts among its faculty, including Dr. Ramon Rami-Porta (Spain), Dr. Diego Gonzalez Rivas (Spain), Dr. Joel Dunning (UK), Dr. Hasan Batirel (Turkey), Dr. René Horsleben Petersen (Denmark), Dr. Rale Alexandre Schmitt (Italy), Dr. Karen Kelly (USA), and Dr. Aziz Ayed (MIT, USA), alongside many leading surgeons from across the Arab world.

Strong collaboration with industry partners further enhances the congress. Key supporters include Touchstone, Prochidia/Medtronic, Miama Medical, 3S Medical, Fullbright, CHO Terra Delyssa, Gmiha Houria Medical, and others, ensuring that the latest innovations in surgical technology and clinical practice are showcased.
