A distinguished leader in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, Professor Falcoz brings decades of expertise, innovation, and academic excellence to this esteemed role. Currently serving as Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation at Nouvel Hospital Civil, Strasbourg, Professor Falcoz has been at the forefront of groundbreaking advancements in thoracic surgery. His contributions to regenerative medicine as part of INSERM Unit 1260: Regenerative NanoMedicine underscore his dedication to pushing the boundaries of medical science. Since his appointment as Professor of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in 2009, and his achievement of Distinguished Professor rank in 2022, Professor Falcoz has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to education, research, and patient care. He holds numerous prestigious qualifications, including Board Certification in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and credentials from the European Board of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (2018). “Excellence is never an accident.
